The Physics & Analytics Lab for Materials Research has expertise and competence in the physical, optical and chemical characterization of materials. We are specialised in problem solving by material characterization down to the submicron level for layers, coatings, particles and combinations thereof. For this we have an extensive array of complementary and modern analytical techniques/equipment in house.
Apart from this, automated systems and robotics for combinatorial high throughput formulations (liquids, solids/powders) and coatings are available for screening and high throughput experimentation.

The Chemistry Lab for Materials Research has expertise and competence in lead structure identification, synthesis of chemicals and/or sourcing into the fine chemicals market, formulation of chemical compounds (aqueous and organic emulsions and dispersions) to provide chemical solutions for material requirements.

The quality of this service is guaranteed by a competent and experienced interdisciplinary lab team, with their know-how for sophisticated sample preparation, isolation and identification of components, interpretation of analytical data and identification of lead-structures in view of functional material-requirements.
